Circumferential and Longitudinal Strain are CMR measurement parameters used to evaluate progression of cardiac dysfunction.Abnormal circumferential strain can be detected early in patients with DMD, despite the presence of normal ejection fraction.[9] Regular cardiac function evaluations can lead to timely treatment which may slow the progression of cardiac fibrosis.[10]
