This example shows the representation of circumferential and longitudinal strain findings in the CV domain. The sponsor used the "CMRBRANDTYP Feature Tracking" analysis method (CVANMETH).

Feature Tracking- make is generic (specify the software program used - Medis/Circle/HeartIT as example, add more)

Info
  1. Is row 4 to delineate between 2D/3D/4D strain analysis LV chamber views? no
  2. Question for Jon Neville - does ANMETH fit for the place to put the chamber view ofr the MR visualization? - not the right analysis method. The analysis method is related to the intrinsic algorithm performed by the MRI/CMR machine. It is important to know what method was used. These are types of "Feature Tracking".
  3. Would it be better to show one segment across the different dimensional chamber views at 2 or 3 timepoints?  1, 2, 5 yr point - could do one with change and one without change. Whenever do an MRI - do this; all data can allow feature tracking strain
  4. Is there a best terminology to use for the dimensions?  check CT, 2D, 3D, 4D OR two-dimensional, three-dimensional, four-dimensional (2D is peak radial strain; 3D is peak circumferential strain, 4D is peak longitudinal strain..... is "peak" assumed or does that need to be there?)- not out clinically, more experimentally.
  5. What test is used to measure fibrosis - is it LGE or strain? May use strain if you think may see... LGE is the answer. Strain is a marker of actual function. It worsens before the LVEF
  6. (normal - -18 to 20) - -9 is poor
  7. The LV Global is the average of base/mid/apex circumferential readings/values.
  8. Longitudinal strain normal is -18%
  9. LV Global Longitudinal strain is the average of LV 4, 3, 2 chamber readings/values

-20 is a good result, -10 is a poor result. Could show change over time with first assessment normal, one example could have poor 1 year follow-up and the other can have stable cardiomyopathy disease. Or could just do this.

Rows 1-3:Show circumferential strain
with a 3 dimensional chamber view (CVANMETH) of the left ventricular basal anterior segment, left ventricular basal anteroseptal segment, and left ventricular basal inferoseptal segment (CVLOC)
for the left ventricle base, mid, and apex regions.
Row 4:
Rows 5-6
Shows circumferential strain for the LEFT VENTRICULAR BASAL INFEROSEPTAL SEGMENT.
Row 5:Shows global circumferential strain.
Rows 6-8:Show
circumferential
longitudinal strain
with a 4 dimensional chamber view of the left ventricular basal inferoseptal segment and the left ventricular mid inferoseptal segment
for 4 chamber, 3 chamber, and 2 chamber views.
Row 9:Shows longitudinal strain for the LEFT VENTRICULAR BASAL INFEROSEPTAL SEGMENT.
