Some root variable names use fragments which also appear in other variable names. The definition for the a root variable that start with two hyphens applies only to domain variables where the two hyphens are replaced by a the two-character domain code. For example, the definition for "--DY" does apply to other SDTM or ADaM variables that end with "DY".
